Group D is actually exactly as 'clear cut' as many people are saying that many other people are saying, while they themselves think Austria is underestimated and will challenge Holland and may be even France'. In other words, group D will be close for 1 and 2 for France and Holland (given that France always has a notoriously slow start in tournaments) , a firm third place for Austria, and a fourth place for Poland. (It does make me wonder what leverage Austria has used ;)) PS I interpret the question 'who will score the goals for Holland' as meaning 'everybody in this squad besides the goalie Verbruggen has a great scoring ability, it is difficult to predict who will score besides Depay and Weghorst, (who pretty much score in every game). Will it be Malen ? Will it be one of the many defensive players with scoring ability (VVD, Dumfries, Frimpong, de Ligt, van de Ven) or one of the midfielders with scoring ability (Simons, Veerman, Reijnders) ? ;)

Belgium have no business being 8th favorites over Croatia and Austria. They couldn't win anything or even go deep in most tournaments when their golden generation was in its prime. Now they have a mix of great older players and a few young talents up front, but they're set up to concede plenty with that English championship level back line and no Courtois in net. No way do they make it further than the quarters barring an extremely favorable draw.

Croatia has had this team together since the last Euro and now they are a combination of young and experienced players. Also Crotia have great young players. With this team they were third in the world and played in the final of the national league. They beat now Portugal where they were a much better team. England is the eternal favorite who will not do anything again. Germany is bad and one Croatia will be the same home team as them and has a better team Belgium is also an eternal favorite without any results except third place at the 2018 World Cup. croatia was likeable back in 2012, but they become such a jarring team in the 2 latest WCs, where they had a deep run just for nothing actually! in 2018 they knocked-out england just to concede 4 from france in the final & in 2022 they eliminated brazil in a lucky way just to provide any resistance again vs argentina. they are the traditional dark horses, but talking about traditions, spain are their bad demon, which means they'll go home once again.
